Engagement Session Clothing Ideas
Once scheduling an engagement shoot with us, our clients frequently ask us for Engagement Session Clothing Ideas . Through the years we have come up with a few Engagement clothing ideas for our clients. We hope you find these tips helpful when making a wardrobe selection for your shoot!
Engagement Session Clothing Ideas TIPS
+ Avoid busy patterns. Large floral prints or bold patterns are often overpowering and distracting. This is especially true for outdoor photo sessions where prints may dramatically clash with the natural backdrop.
+ Don’t be afraid of color. Colors such as blues, reds, pinks, or grays photograph better than solid black or white. If you prefer lighter colors, pair them with dark bottoms for contrast. Be careful with white, as it can make some skin tones appear “washed out” in photos.
+ Find a matching balance. You and your partner’s outfits should complement each other rather than clash. If one of your outfits is a stark contrast to the other it will draw attention away from one person, rather than unifying you. Pick two or three colors that go together, or wear different shades of a similar color.
+ Accessorize! Accessories like belts, hats, scarves, or jewelry can transform a casual outfit into something that looks classy. Accessories can also easily turn one outfit into several different looks to give you more options for your shoot.
+ Be confident! Choose an outfit that reflects your personality and style. Above all, you should feel confident and comfortable in whatever you are wearing. If you are wearing pieces that do not feel like “you” it will come across in your photos.
