Saundra and Charles had a perfect intimate wedding at the beautiful Caswell House in Austin, Tx. Saundra looked stunning in her dress a long with her unique birdcage veil! Maris Malone Calderon of course did her gorgeous makeup, and we cannot say thank you enough to Johnell with Clearly Classy Events, who did an amazing job coordinating the day. We also cannot forget Lizama Videography. If you are looking for a videographer you should definitely check them out! Also, a special thank you to Charlotte with Number 9 Photography who shot this beautiful wedding with us.

This next wedding was not only gorgeous but tons of fun!! It was at the Southwest School of Arts and Crafts! One of my favorite venues in San Antonio. Diana from I do Wedding Consulting did a phenomenal job coordinating and putting this beautiful wedding together. Our first time to meet Melanie and Marco was actually at their wedding. I knew since we instantly got a long with Melanie’s mother at our meetings that we were also going to love Melanie too! We were right! This wedding was fun, colorful and planned out perfectly. Lighting is so important for photographers, and we had plenty of great lighting, and plenty of time with the couple and the wedding party. That reason alone is why we got so many pictures of them on their big day. We cannot thank them enough for that!

Melanie and Marco, you both were so great to work with. We love your wedding pictures and hope you enjoy them for years to come! Congrats again!

So…. creative! Loved this idea Melanie and Marco had!

We feel so lucky we had the opportunity to photograph Chi and Michael’s wedding in Aruba in 2011 ! We had never been to Aruba before and didn’t know what to expect. I mean yes we have seen beaches before, but Aruba’s beaches are like nothing we have ever seen before!! The water is so Crystal blue it literally takes your breath away. Put that with white as snow beaches and you have an amazing backdrop for a wedding. Chi and Michael’s wedding was intimate and perfect. They are such sweet people and we had such an awesome time getting to know them and their amazing family. We hope you all enjoy their wedding in Aruba!

Looking back on 2011 | Part One

In 2011 we had the most amazing couples, creative vendors and beautiful venues! Our 2011 couples incorporated fun and unique props to many of their photo shoots. We had a hot dog stand, a homemade tent, vintage cars, and countless more creative ideas. Maris Calderon made our couples even more beautiful. She is so talented and our couples are always thrilled with her work. The floral arrangements that Beth Richards with Exquisite Petals and Posey Event & Floral Design created throughout the year transformed venues into one of a kind settings. Aimee Villa, Trisha, Kathie and Kevin to name a few amazing event designers planned and personalized events that were exciting to photograph. Even the venues in Austin seemed to be even more beautiful this year. Just one of the many reasons we love being wedding photographers in Austin.

Not only did we photograph many beautiful events in Austin, throughout the year we were also photographing in some new and exciting places. The year started with a romantic elopement in Hawaii. We are always happy to return to Maui, it holds a special place in our hearts. Then in March we visited Ireland and experienced the Cliffs of Moher and the windy back country roadways. The golden sands and aqua Atlantic beach of Miami were beautiful. We found friendly faces in downtown New York City and photographed under the blooming Cherry blossom trees in Bryant Park. The majestic Alaskan sky and mountains stretched on forever, and we happily took some extra time to take it all in. We found Colorado was a gold mine for beautiful scenery. To complete our 2011 travels we soaked up the sun in Aruba while photographing an intimate beachfront ceremony.

This post is part I of III in our “Looking back on 2011″. This year was filled with many amazing photo shoots and it was impossible for us to narrow down the number of images to just one post. We cannot wait for 2012 and we are thrilled to see how amazing this new year will be. Our calendar is quickly filling up with new amazing couples that we know are going to rock 2012! This post marks the end of a wonderful year and the beginning of a new year filled with creativity, love and adventure.
