We really are in LOVE with these next set of engagement photos! Marcela and Jason were so much fun to photograph. We really love the colors they chose for their session! We seriously don’t think there is one picture that we don’t like of the two of them. We cannot wait for their wedding in a couple months!

Bryan and Nicole came to Austin to Visit us and so we could also photograph their engagement session. We had so much fun while they were here, maybe too much fun . They are getting married this June in Sonoma, CA and we couldn’t be more excited to attend the wedding!! We went to a park in Bee Caves for their e-session, and it was such a perfect day. We love so many of their pictures it was really hard to narrow down our favorites.

In 2011 we had the most amazing couples, creative vendors and beautiful venues! Our 2011 couples incorporated fun and unique props to many of their photo shoots. We had a hot dog stand, a homemade tent, vintage cars, and countless more creative ideas. Maris Calderon made our couples even more beautiful. She is so talented and our couples are always thrilled with her work. The floral arrangements that Beth Richards with Exquisite Petals and Posey Event & Floral Design created throughout the year transformed venues into one of a kind settings. Aimee Villa, Trisha, Kathie and Kevin to name a few amazing event designers planned and personalized events that were exciting to photograph. Even the venues in Austin seemed to be even more beautiful this year. Just one of the many reasons we love being wedding photographers in Austin.

Not only did we photograph many beautiful events in Austin, throughout the year we were also photographing in some new and exciting places. The year started with a romantic elopement in Hawaii. We are always happy to return to Maui, it holds a special place in our hearts. Then in March we visited Ireland and experienced the Cliffs of Moher and the windy back country roadways. The golden sands and aqua Atlantic beach of Miami were beautiful. We found friendly faces in downtown New York City and photographed under the blooming Cherry blossom trees in Bryant Park. The majestic Alaskan sky and mountains stretched on forever, and we happily took some extra time to take it all in. We found Colorado was a gold mine for beautiful scenery. To complete our 2011 travels we soaked up the sun in Aruba while photographing an intimate beachfront ceremony.

This post is part I of III in our “Looking back on 2011″. This year was filled with many amazing photo shoots and it was impossible for us to narrow down the number of images to just one post. We cannot wait for 2012 and we are thrilled to see how amazing this new year will be. Our calendar is quickly filling up with new amazing couples that we know are going to rock 2012! This post marks the end of a wonderful year and the beginning of a new year filled with creativity, love and adventure.

I got the chance to meet Mandy and Pete for the first time at their engagement session. They are such a sweet couple, and we really cannot be more excited about their wedding coming up! We did their engagements at one of my favorite venues Vista West Ranch, in Dripping Springs. The lighting was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. We had the chance to go to Colorado to photograph Karen and Doug’s engagement’s, and let me tell you we were so excited!! It was our first time to see Colorado, and we loved it. We are even more excited for Karen and Doug’s wedding next year in Italy! We feel so lucky they chose us to go with them to document their special day. They are such sweet people, and we cannot wait to see them again soon. We did their engagements in Golden Gate State Park, in Golden Colorado. It was beautiful! The leaves were just starting to change, and the weather was amazing. We hope you all enjoy their sweet engagements.
