From Sara Brown Weddings:

We set out to create inspiring vignettes and images that highlight fall in Colorado, but with some unexpected color palettes. What we found was that mauve and lavender can represent our beloved autumn when paired with thick, rich fabrics, a variety of textures, and whiskey to boot.
Our bride and groom, Kristina and Keith, were all dolled up with the help of Little White Dress, Jeni Brady Hair, Liana Kathryn Makeup, Pinetree Jewelers and Ted’s Clothiers.
Frances Harjeet of Prema created a wild and organic ceremony spot on the west lawn of Villa Parker. The perfect spot for a set of intimate I dos!
The whiskey bar was a fun addition that helped bring in a warm, fall-inspired twist on the traditional bar cart. Hannah of Ink and Root designed decanter labels for a masculine contrast to the ornate crystal and silver details.
The reception table was my personal favorite vignette and really showcased everyone’s creativity and collaboration – from the luxe La Tavola linens to the stunner floral design by Prema to the sweet place cards by Ink & Root to the specialty rentals from sb borrowed. The plates were topped with a fall feast from Occasions Catering that wasn’t around for long.
Dessert was cake from Wildflower Cake Boutique. We ended the shoot with a nightcap in the firelit lounge area. This area was a fun collaboration between Yonder House, sb borrowed and Prema.
The day was designed and planned by Sara of Sara Brown Weddings. It was captured with a really fun mix of videography by Lisa Mares.

West Texas Wedding Photographer

We feel so lucky to have been a West Texas Wedding Photographer. We worked with an amazing team for this session! Andrea Juarez did Ashley’s gorgeous hair and makeup, Trisha with Visual Lyrics and Vintique Rentals did the florals and event design, and Lacy with the Gown Girls created and styled with the amazing Sarah Seven dresses and Jewelry.

We have always wanted to photograph in West Texas, and when we kept hearing about Terlingua and Lajitas, we could not pass up the change to photograph there!

We packed up our van and off we went to spend a couple days in West Texas, and it was amazing! We love working with these amazing artists and feel so lucky that they were up for this idea too. We are so excited to share that it has been featured on 100 Layer Cake and are excited to share it with you today!

Fall Lost Mission Wedding Story:

Erin and Cole celebrated Thanksgiving 2014 with the Thornberry family in South Texas on Baffin Bay. Having much to be thankful for, Erin made sure to celebrate properly which resulted in her sleeping in the next morning, Friday, November 28th. Her sisters, Holly and Janna, and brother-in-law, Billy did not appreciate the late start to Erin’s day as they had been up since 7am and asked to disappear by Cole knowing this was the first step to get Erin by herself. It took persistence, talk of arrowheads, a little luck and Erin and Cole’s dog, Shiner, to somehow get Erin to agree to a five minute boat ride while she drank her morning coffee. Erin tried her hardest to convince Cole to take the shortest route just across the bay to an area on the King Ranch but Cole continued to ignore her and make up excuses as he had a set path and plan. Cole successfully made it to the Thornberry family’s favorite deserted spot, Sandy Hook, where they have enjoyed countless afternoons. Cole seemed overly enthusiastic to find “arrow heads” while Erin was devising a plan to get back to the house and relax. She thought if she made one large loop that it would suffice and they could leave. Not knowing she was walking in every direction except the one Cole was hoping for led to much anticipation for him. Finally Shiner, Cole, and Erin were on the “right” course. The right course to Erin being the path that led back to the boat and the right course to Cole being the path that led to the red box he half buried early that morning. As Erin approached the box she walked completely past it. Cole asked, “What is that?!” Erin turned and at first thought it was a kid’s toy, but once she realized it was a box she shouted, “Well pick it up!” As Cole picked up the box and opened it, Erin still had no clue what was going on until she noticed the note in Cole’s handwriting and a jewelry box inside the small chest. In that frozen moment, Cole reached into his pocket, grabbed the ring and went to one knee and asked Erin to marry him. Shocked, excited, and after two minutes of crying, Erin said YES!! Clear blue skies, the sound of waves and 70 degrees; they sat there on the beach in their perfect moment overwhelmed with excitement and love!! That Fridayevening they celebrated Thanksgiving again with the Thornberrys and, to Erin’s surprise, the Patchells as well and enjoyed a fantastic weekend on the bay ‪#‎thornpatch‬ style!

How they Met from Andrew:

I met my future wife on February 5th, 2011. I remember this evening vividly because it was the day before the Superbowl. It was also the night I was throwing a going away party for my roommate John. He was deploying to Iraq for the second time early the next morning. Instead of spending the entire night with John, I decided to Take Lindsey out on our first date.

I picked Lindsey up at her house. The only word to describe her was STUNNING. Being the fly by the seat of my pants kind of guy, I asked her what she wanted to do that night? That’s when I found out she wasn’t a very decisive woman, however, she seemed to like to shoot pool so we were off. However, she insisted on one stop on the way – the local drive through frozen daiquiri/margarita joint. For those of you who do not live in the South, some towns literally have drive through liquor stores where you can buy a to go cup of delicious daiquiri. This was my first of many firsts with Lindsey.

Following my daiquiri and her Cadillac margarita we made it to the pool hall. Lindsey was quiet, but super smirky. She laughed at my awful jokes and made me laugh at the same time. I was enamored with her. I liked her so much, I even let her beat me at pool- twice. At this point in my life, I had developed a set of rules for first dates. The most important one was to “ALWAYS have a way OUT.” This first date was different however, while we were having a great time playing pool, I let her know I was having a party at my place and invited her to join us. Once we arrived I just remember all of my friends asking me “How in the world was I able to get this girl to pay any attention to me?!?!” Well, to this day I still don’t know how I am so lucky to have Lindsey in my life. But, for some reason she still looks at me with that same smirky face, still makes me laugh, still calls me her best friend and I can’t wait to soon call her “My Wife”.

Freiburg Germany Wedding Photographer | Forever Photography Studio

This Freiburg Germany Wedding was so unreal it felt like we were in a fairytale at times. Katherine and Christoph had their wedding in Freiburg Germany near Christoph’s hometown. It was our first time to the Black Forest region and it was stunning to be a Freiburg Germany Wedding Photographer even if only for a day!

Their Freiburg Germany Wedding reception was held at Henslerhof Venue, just a couple miles outside of town. If you have never been or visited the Black Forest region here are some reasons from Lonely Planet to give you a little push.

We had the chance to photograph Katherine and Christophs’s wedding in Hong Kong Last November and felt even more lucky that we had the chance to photograph their Germany Wedding too! We hope you enjoy looking through the images of their wedding in Black Forest Germany.

Being the architect/engineer couple, we first met at The Empire State Building in New York City on a late summer Friday evening over happy hour drinks at the Beer Brewery. It was definitely not “love at first sight” but through many emails, texts, weekend brunches and over more beer, we slowly got to know each other and started our relationship. Our first few dates consisted of visiting buildings on Yale’s campus in New Haven and a color photography exhibition at The Whitney Museum because I found out that Christoph was part colorblind. To me that was very interesting and I wanted to know which spectrum of colors he could not see clearly. Throughout the past six years, we have had many challenges that have brought us closer together and made our relationship stronger. After years of long distance from: New york – Uzbekistan, New York – Stuttgart, New York – Hong Kong, we somehow managed to make it through and hope that our experiences will help us as we embark on the next chapter of our lives together.

After 5 years, Christoph planned a wonderful proposal in his hometown of Buchenbach. The day after his God-Mother’s Golden Wedding anniversary celebrations, he dragged me on a morning run up the hill to the Kreuzbergkappelle, a little church overlooking his tiny hometown. We sat on the steps of the church for a break to catch our breaths and to take in the stunning view. What was just a morning run turned into one of the most memorable moments of our lives. After a prayer together for our families on the steps of the church, we sat down at a little bench in the garden. We are not quite clear what happened next anymore, but we found ourselves in tears (or more accurately just me) while Christoph was down on one knee. Just like that, we were engaged!

July 4th Wedding How they Met:

Michael and I met early on in college through mutual friends, and were familiar acquaintances for several years. I always thought he was super handsome and mysterious, but we didn’t start actually spending time together until circumstances aligned in a couple of ways. In 2013, two of our best friends married one another, and then they fell off the face of the planet for a while in newlywedded bliss, so all of a sudden we both found ourselves with a lot of free time and no one in particular to spend it with, so we naturally started hanging out. I had just started attending a new church where I didn’t know anyone, and the second time I visited, to my surprise, Michael was there too. We had both gotten the recommendation to check it out from the same mutual friend without realizing it, and between that and our friends temporarily disappearing, we started spending a lot of time together. We went to concerts, went swimming at Barton Springs, and sampled all the amazing food trucks that Austin has to offer. Because we had known each other for so long, our relationship progressed quickly as we kind of got to skip the getting-to-know-you phase, and we started officially dating early in 2014. About a year later, Michael and I went on a long road trip to visit both of our families for the holidays. He said spending all that time together and the conversations we had on that trip made him know he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and he bought a ring and proposed the next day. I was shocked, but so excited, and being a wedding planner myself, took on the task of planning a wedding in six months so it could take place on July 4th. I grew up in St. Louis, and the 4th of July is a big deal there. I have the best memories of going to Fair St. Louis, watching the air shows, going to Cardinals games, watching free concerts, and of course the incredible fireworks show over the river right near the Arch. It was such a perfect day to get married on and we loved every second of it.
